Welcome to IUS, Freshmen!

International University of Sarajevo (IUS) welcomed its freshmen students at the official ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe, Rector of IUS, addressed the first-year students and wished them a warm welcome to our vibrant international community. President of Student Parliament of IUS (SPIUS) Ismail Ćidić, successful students Sajra Tanković and Rialda Spahić, as well as representatives of the IUS staff, also addressed the audience.

In his speech, Rector Türe emphasized that there is a lot of hard work awaiting the freshmen in their first year, reminded that the IUS is proud of its highly qualified international staff, the contemporary organization of study programs and approach that integrates theory and practice. He also reminded that the International University of Sarajevo has been accredited in Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognized by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK), and has study programs accredited by the Quality Assurance agency of Austria.

Welcome Ceremony was part of student orientation program and aimed to provide students a brief introduction to opportunities offered at IUS, such as career development, student exchange, internships, non-formal education, and other.

The ceremony was supported by staff members of the IUS. Students Affairs Office; International Relations Office; Career Center; Social, Cultural, Health, and Sports Activities department; IT Center and PR Office supported the event with short presentations of their activities.
